A SIMPLE TRAINING IDEA FOR ALL MARTIAL ARTISTS
To cover the various fitness levels and different fighting components a session on two bags can be useful. Over a four or five minute round the constant shift from stand up to floor and vice versa will be harder than it looks. It goes without saying that all out strikes in both modes are essential plus the transitions on the ground bag need to be kept flowing between the strikes.
Here Alun Green, former English kickboxing champion demonstrates this training idea. Alun still trains on a private basis with Arthur at the Seishinkan dojo in Bristol, as he has done since he was 17yrs old. He has represented Budo Juku Bridgwater in the Kickboxing ring on many occasions and won his illustrious title in Bournemouth in 2004.
